There have been numerous moments in my life when I had to choose between staying in my comfort zone or embarking on a new journey—one that pushed me past familiar boundaries, always toward self-empowerment and greater fulfillment.
Growing up, I was never taught the importance of prioritizing my own well-being. Oh, I knew the difference between feeling good and experiencing the heavy weight of negative emotions. But the adults in my household had other priorities. Their emphasis was on obedience, obligation, and conforming to the rules of society.
Individual expression, creativity, and making myself happy were not on the list. Suppressing these became a problem later in life.
Years went by while I committed to a corporate lifestyle. As anyone familiar with corporate culture will tell you, it can sometimes feel like being in a household where commands are barked and compliance is expected. And that can never be the way to long-term happiness.
It took me years to uncover what truly makes me happy and to understand the workings of my inner mind. My journey was long and arduous, navigating through a jungle of unhappiness, over mountains of obligation, into the valley of despair, and slogging through emotional mud puddles while struggling to comprehend why my mind seemed so prone to negative emotions.
But through this journey, I've gained invaluable insights into the subconscious mind and the nature of negative emotions. And now, I'm here to share that wisdom with you. Because I've traveled the long road, you won't have to. Because I've delved deep into my inner struggles, you can benefit from the knowledge and understanding I've gained along the way.
